Working at the interface between words and design, Cassandra brings a wealth of experience and a fiercely critical eye to Coretext’s publications. Her job is to read all copy to ensure consistency of style (punctuation, hyphenation etc), use of English and accuracy of information (names, web addresses etc), and to assemble a magazine’s ingredients – copy and images, ‘breakouts’ and captions – on the page in a way that makes sense. She works closely with creative director Tim Claeys. Cassandra has a degree in English, has co-edited a specialist medical college’s magazine and even writes occasionally – which is good for the soul.

The most recent addition to the Coretext team, Larry, is director in charge of ‘meeting and greeting’. A graduate of Anthropology and Ballology from the Open Air University, Larry is a proponent of the Management by Walking Around technique as a way to build trust with colleagues. As a strategist, Larry likes to pick low-hanging fruit –– especially when it has been reduced to a core and can be found in somebody’s rubbish bin. Larry makes visitors feel special, loves a pat in return, and encourages staff to join him on his regular walks around the block where, it has to be said, there’s always a chance of sniffing out a good story.
