We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the Coretext creative team: our exceptional Creative Director, Tim Claeys, was selected as a jury member for the prestigious 2025 World Illustration Awards! 

These internationally recognised awards spotlight the very best in illustration across 10 categories, honouring talent that continues to redefine visual storytelling on a global scale. 

Tim, already widely known as an award-winning designer and a globally respected illustrator, was invited to lend his expertise in judging the Science & Technology category, where imaginative visuals bring complex ideas to life. This category celebrates those who transform scientific, medical, and technical concepts into captivating, accessible artwork. 

With a portfolio that includes more than 100 influential corporate publications under the Coretext banner, Tim brings a thoughtful, research-driven approach to every project. His ability to merge clarity, creativity, and visual strength mirrors the spirit of the awards perfectly, where communication meets craft. 

Each category in the awards is reviewed by a group of international experts, focusing on technical skill, conceptual depth, and how far each piece innovates what illustrations can be.

Reflecting on the experience, Tim said: “The tools illustrators use are evolving quickly alongside technology. Take Procreate, for example, it’s a favourite among many artists because of how flexible it is with output formats, which made a difference in the judging process. “It also enables animation, which has become a vital enhancement in today’s digital content landscape, something we absolutely considered when reviewing entries.” 

Presented by the Association of Illustrators and the Directory of Illustration, the World Illustration Awards continue to celebrate those shaping the future of illustration. We’re honoured Tim played a part in that journey.
